Withings WS-30/50

The Withings WS-30 and WS-50 can be seen as equal from a security and privacy point of view. The solutions are of good standard. Just as Fitbit, Withings is one of the well known providers of mHealth solutions and hence has been investigated by other researchers. We considered their research while designing our experiments and refer to Martin's master thesis for more detail.

Minor issues remain and have been disclosed to the vendor. Yet it is to them to pick up on these issues.

• unencrypted data transmission data exchanged between your bathroom scale and web servers is not properly encrypted: make sure your wifi network is protected!

Withings Body Cardio

The Body Cardio is the first Withings scale to employ encryption when transferring data to the server via wifi.
